Grilled Chicken Wings

Well.. Sunday afternoon has rolled around once again. Hubs spent the weekend playing golf and I, well I didn't do much of anything. I did have dinner Saturday night with my in-laws, sister-in-law, and her roommate which is always a highlight to the weekend. Hubs decided he wanted to go a different route for our supper this evening. Wings it is! I don't care for the typical buffalo style wings, but I do love honey mustard flavored wings!

For this recipe I use a Dizzy Pig Rub mix. It is DELICIOUS! If you have never used "Dizzy Pig Rubs, check them out here!! You can literally use them on EVERYTHING! The one I chose to use is a blend of salt, paper, garlic, paprika, crushed red pepper, and unlisted spices. If you don't have dizzy pig, just substitute with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper.

If you prefer a different sauce, you can swap out the honey mustard for a typical buffalo style sauce or even a teriyaki style sauce. Whatever you fancy you can do!

Helpful hint from the Hubs: Place an aluminum baking sheet underneath the grill grate to catch your drippings. Chicken drippings can cause the grill to flame up and burn the outside of your chicken.

Lets grill some wings! I promise it is simple. Printable Recipe Here!!

Grilled Chicken Wings
GF/DF

Ingredients:

3 T olive oil
1 1/2 T Dizzy Pig raising the steaks rub
about 3 1/2 pounds bone in chicken wings
1/4 cup, plus more for dipping GF honey mustard sauce (I used Sweet Baby Ray's)

What to do:

Heat your grill to 400°. (That's Hubs' job)

Remove the plastic wrap from your wings and place in the fridge, uncovered for 15 minutes. This helps to make the skin become crispy when cooked.

Place your wings in a large ziplock bag.

Pour in your olive oil.

Sprinkle in the dizzy pig (or substituted seasonings).

Seal your bag and give it a shake allowing the wings to season evenly.

Grill the wings for 45 minutes. Flipping about every 15 minutes.

After your wings have been grilling for 45 minutes, remove from the grill.

Add your wings and honey mustard into a large bowl and toss to combine.

Throw your wings back on the grill for 5 more minutes.

Remove from the grill and grab some napkins! I like to have a little extra sauce on the side for dipping.

Thanks Y'all!
