A few months ago I got a Vitamix blender and have really enjoyed it! I have started making smoothies in the morning and absolutely love them. They are so easy and a super healthy way to start your day. Now, you don't need a vitamix to make smoothies, but your opportunities are endless when you do use a high power blender. My Vitamix will make anything from salsa to hot soup! Yes, HOT SOUP! I will have to share with you some of the wonderful things I have made in my vitamix at a later date, but today I am going to share a super simple smoothie recipe that I make several times a week.
In this recipe I use frozen berries. I go for the all organic PURE berries. Check your ingredients to make sure there are no preservatives or additives. :)

Mixed Berry Smoothie
GF, DF
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen mixed berries
3/4 cup fresh spinach
3/4 cup apple juice
1 spoonful GF almond butter
What to do:
Add all ingredients into high power blender.
Blend until smooth.
Yup That's it!! Now enjoy!!
I like to enjoy mine while I am blogging and watching the Today Show!
Another thing I love about my Vitamix, it pretty much cleans itself. I just add a lithe soap and water and turn it to the "cleaning" setting and let it run. Just rinse and it is clean!
